A letter has been sent to the American President to stop the auctioning off of tablets found at Persepolis in the 1930's to compensate Israeli victims of a bombing in 1997.
In the late 1950s Greek Cypriots (EOKA) killed British soldiers and civilians - but we missed our opportunity to flog off the Elgin marbles, which would have saved a lot of hassle in the long run.
