The Gardner Museum's Stolen Vermeer

Here we have one of 34 paintings by the Dutch master Johannes Vermeer(Oct. 31, 1632- Dec. 15, 1675). Discomforting is that the painting is the Isabella Gardner Museum's stolen Vermeer "The Concert".

On a march morning in 1990 two thieves entered the museum and stole 13 works of art including the Vermeer and a number of Rembrandt's from the walls of the museum. The museum is currently offering up to $5 million reward for information which leads to the recovery of the missing art.
